Jim Vanderberg

Jim Vanderberg, a Wisconsin native, made a name as a race car driver. His parents immigrated to Canada when they were children. His grandparents worked as candy makers in Eastern Europe and used their skills to make their way to Canada. Once they settled in the country, they decided to start a business. The family bought land with maple trees and began making maple syrup. This business eventually grew to be a major industry in Eastern Canada.

Jim Vandenberg enjoyed life. He was a past president of the Williamsville Fire Department, served as a truck driver and pump operator, and married Mary Gladstone Vandenberg on July 22, 2006. Jim and Mary enjoyed golf and travel together. They traveled often to South Dakota and Branson, MO. They enjoyed hunting trips and spent as much time as possible in the outdoors. Jim was also a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). His grandchildren were his life and he loved to see them play video games and watch movies.

Jim was born in Eastern Europe. His grandparents had a small farm and grew maple trees. The business was eventually sold, but Jim continues the family tradition of harvesting maple syrup each year to make maple candy. Jim quit his corporate job in the 2020s to become a full-time maple syrup candy producer. Jim Vanderberg currently lives in Toronto, Canada.
